I met with Brittany and Amanda for their engagement photos on what seemed like the chilliest day of the year in the Old Historic part of St. Charles, Missouri.

This was familiar territory for these two though as they were recently engaged this past Christmas.  Brittany planned a horse-drawn carriage ride that took them down the old streets and then along the lake.  It was then that Brittany proposed to Amanda and she said yes, the beginning the next chapter of their love story!

As we walked down Main Street Amanda and Brittany told me how they visited a candle shop where they had an ornament created to signify their first Christmas engaged and how the shop keeper gave them fudge in celebration. They also told me about their elopement planned for April and I couldn’t think of a more romantic way to think about love and marriage… not to mention how wonderful it will be to be on the beach!

Their session was full of fun talk, laughter, snuggles for warmth, and inspiring love.  Although the day was cold it was a wonderful start to their Valentine’s getaway they had planned.

Brittany and Amanda are beautiful together and I cannot wait for the second half of their engagement session this spring!
