There is nothing quite like a Colorado mountain vacation to bring a family together, and I had the absolute best time meeting up with this sweet crew during their getaway to Breckenridge! They traveled in to experience the Rockies, and they knew they wanted to document the trip with some epic family portraits.

We decided on Prospector Campground in Dillon, Colorado, which is always a personal favorite of mine. It gives you those huge, sweeping mountain views and water backdrops without needing to hike miles into the wilderness—which is a major win when you have little ones in tow!

Speaking of little ones, this couple brought along their two young daughters, and let me tell you, they gave me a serious run for my money! 🤪 They had boundless energy, a healthy dose of sass, and absolutely no interest in sitting still and smiling for a camera. But honestly? That is the beauty of a lifestyle family session. Instead of fighting the energy, we ran with it. We played games, explored the trails, and let them just be kids.

And as it always does, the mountain magic won everyone over in the end. Right as the sun started to dip, the lighting turned into that perfect, golden glow, and the girls completely leaned into the fun. The absolute portrait win of the day was catching those genuine, crinkly-nosed laughs from the girls while their parents swung them in the air against that massive mountain backdrop.

We ended the day with a gallery that perfectly captures this season of their lives—beautiful, a little chaotic, and overflowing with love and adventure.
