Some senior sessions are so beautifully intentional that they feel like a complete story of who a person is right now, and this gorgeous extended session was exactly that! We started our evening at the lush, blooming grounds of Hudson Gardens before heading over to the dramatic red rocks of Roxborough State Park. Because she booked an extended session, we had the luxury of taking our time, exploring two incredible locations, and capturing three completely different looks.
What truly made this session spectacular wasn’t just the stunning Colorado scenery—it was how perfectly she infused her heart and history into every single frame. Encouraging seniors to bring items that represent who they are in this specific season of life is a core part of my approach to portraiture. She chose to bring some of the most special pieces: her favorite books, her childhood stuffed animal, and her violin. Incorporating these sentimental details into her portraits added such a beautiful layer of depth and quiet confidence to her gallery. Between her musical talent, her love for reading, and a sweet nod to her childhood, her session felt completely effortless and undeniably her.
Enjoy a few of my absolute favorites from this deeply personal, multi-location senior experience!
