Wind, Adventure, and Love: An Engagement Session at Rocky Mountain National Park
This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a playful and adventurous couple who traveled all the way from Kansas City for their engagement session at Rocky Mountain National Park. With clear skies and breathtaking mountain views, we couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop—except for the 20 mph winds that decided to keep us on our toes! But that didn’t stop this incredible couple from fully embracing the moment, laughing through the wind gusts and chilly temperatures to capture some truly unforgettable engagement photos.
We explored some of the most scenic spots in the park, starting at Sprague Lake, where the still waters reflected the towering peaks behind us. The couple’s energy was infectious, making the most of the wind by twirling, running, and holding each other close to stay warm. Next, we headed to Moraine Park, where the open fields and distant mountain ranges provided a stunning setting for some dreamy, windswept portraits. Our final stop was Lily Lake, where the late-afternoon light painted everything in golden hues, creating a romantic and cinematic finish to our session.
I love when couples go all-in for an adventure engagement session, and these two were no exception. Their love and joy were undeniable, and I know their Denver wedding this October will be just as full of laughter and fun.
