There’s something special about photographing families you’ve known for years—and this session with Audrey and her beautiful family at Cherry Creek State Park was exactly that. Audrey and I went to college together, so getting the chance to reconnect, catch up on life, and see her as a mom was such a joy.

We met at Cherry Creek on a calm Colorado morning, the kind where the light is soft, cool, and gentle—perfect for little ones and for photos that feel relaxed and natural. The kids were full of personality, energy, and curiosity—everything I love about family sessions. We explored the open fields, played in the tall grasses, and captured a mix of playful candids and classic portraits that really show who they are in this season of life.

Cherry Creek State Park is one of my favorite locations for Denver family sessions because it offers so much variety—wide open spaces, water, mountain views, and endless room for kids to explore. It’s the perfect backdrop for families who want images that feel authentic, warm, and beautifully Colorado.
