Allison & Derek’s Engagement Session
Troy Park & Kuhs Farm

The air smells like fall, crisp with a hint of bon fire.  The perfect setting for an engagement session.  We met a the Troy Park to start our session so Allison and Derek could introduce me to their pup, Lucy.  The walking trails at the Troy park gave a great backdrop for Allison and Derek’s fall inspired wardrobe.  The sun was just beginning to set and cast a beautiful orange glow through the trees.

It was easy to coach Allison and Derek into their session, as they were ready and willing to cozy up and snuck kisses frequently.  We took a walk around the park and caught some wonderful moments then headed to our second destination, Kuhs Farm, the location of Allison and Derek’s wedding.

After dropping off Lucy and quick wardrobe change, we arrived at Kuhs Farm.  The rolling hills, rock garden, and river overlook is a photographer’s dream for sessions.  We took full advantage of the golden hour starting in the rock garden.  Next we went to the top of the hill overlooking the barns and horses.  Derek and Allison practiced their first dance as the sun set in the background.  It was such a lovely night with such a lovely couple, I cannot wait until their epic wedding at the farm next year!
