The Wessel Family

Wessel Family - Jackelynn Noel Photography

This family is super special to me because Mr. Seth’s mama is one of my closest friends.

This year I had the honor of photographing their family twice (see Seth’s 6 month photos).  For Seth’s first birthday we headed to the Wessel Family farm in Pierron, Illinois to get a few shots.  It was a little chilly in late October so we bundled Seth up in his red plaid hat and Mossy Oak jacket to go with his daddy’s duck hunting decoys and pack.  Since Seth was born Scott has suggested we take photos that include his duck hunting decoys and mossy oak jacket so we were all over it.  Seth loved hearing Scott make duck calls and getting some one-on-one time with mama, Christa.

Mr. Seth is a little skeptical about the lady following he and daddy.

After the fun with duck calls and decoys we headed over to Seth’s favorite toy… the John Deere tractor.  He pointed excitedly and rumbled “vroom, vroooom!”  Wessel Family - Jackelynn Noel PhotographyWessel Family - Jackelynn Noel PhotographyWessel Family - Jackelynn Noel PhotographyWessel Family - Jackelynn Noel PhotographyWessel Family - Jackelynn Noel PhotographyWessel Family - Jackelynn Noel Photography

Scott let Seth turn the steering wheel and he tried his best to throw me out of the cab.

The sun came out and we blocked the wind with a silo and I finally got giggles and smiles from Seth.

I was so lucky to spend the morning with the Wessel family to document their little family.  I look forward to the years to come and new adventures that await… as well as Scott’s prop ideas 🙂

Special shout out and thank you to Seth’s Grandma Jan and Aunt Suzi for carrying supplies, making silly faces, and keeping Seth excited and happy!
